Serves: 4

Brussels sprouts and bacon are a classic combination. Bacon jam makes it easier, and with a modern twist!

Ingredients

2 large or 3-4 small brussels spouts per person
2 teaspoons olive oil
4 teaspoons bacon jam
crushed red pepper

Instructions

Cut off any dry stem from the base of the sprout, then cut cross-wise into thin shreds... the leaves will fall apart kind of like coleslaw.

Heat oil in saute pan over medium-high heat. Add pepper and shaved sprouts, tossing to coat, and stirring regularly until wilted and starting to crisp. Stir in bacon jam as a glaze, and heat through. Serve as a side to roasted meats.

alright tough guy, think you can provide a better recipe? put your bacon where your mouth is...
